Kenton Johnston, PhD, MPH research published in The Journal of American Medical Association

Congratulations to Kenton Johnston, PhD, MPH, Associate Professor of Medicine & Director of Medicare Innovation Research Lab in the Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics, for his published work in the October 2024 issue of The Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA).

The article titled “Helping Dual-Eligible Individuals Navigate Medicare and Medicaid” looks at the problems faced by dual-eligible Americans navigating Medicare and Medicaid.

“It reviews existing options available to assist them in choosing insurance plans, and recommend solutions to help individuals choose coverage that best meets their needs,” Dr. Johnston shares.

Dr. Johnston conducted this research with Eric Roberts of University of Pennsylvania and Jose Figueroa of Harvard University.

Dr. Johnston shared “Nearly 13 million U.S. residents are dually eligible for and enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid.”
