Beth Prusaczyk, PhD, MSW is an implementation scientist who specializes in improving healthcare for vulnerable older adults such as those living in rural areas or with dementia by understanding how to better implement existing research findings related to transitional care or care coordination into practice. Her work focuses on how systems science, existing healthcare data, and health information technology can both inform and speed this implementation process.
She has published in Implementation Science, Implementation Science Communications, the Journal of Interprofessional Care, the International Journal of Care Coordination, Journal of Gerontological Nursing, and the Journal of Rural Health. She received her PhD in Social Work from the Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis and completed her postdoctoral training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She also served as 2018-2019 Health and Aging Policy Fellow, working with Senator Bob Casey (D-PA), Ranking Member of the Senate Special Committee on Aging.
