Biography

Dr. McDonnell is a general internist and medical educator. He is dedicated to the ambulatory education of internal medicine residents and serves as the Primary Care Internal Medicine Residency Program Director and Assistant Manager of the Primary Care Medicine Clinic. His research focuses on quality improvement, panel management, and resident education.

Dr. McDonnell also practices at Washington University Complete Care at Barnes Jewish West County where he treats adults of all ages for primary care, internal medicine, and management of chronic diseases. 

Dr. McDonnell received his undergraduate degree from Seattle University, medical degree from the University of Michigan, and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes Jewish Hospital, where he also completed a chief resident year.
