Biography

Dr. William Shannon has a PhD in Biostatistics and divides his time between research and consulting. His research interests include classification and clustering of biomedical data, large database analyses, data mining, and statistical computing. Recent research activities have been focused on developing new classification and computational methods for the analysis of gene chip data and multiple aligned protein sequence data. His consulting activities involve analyzing biomedical research data for grants and manuscripts to support faculty projects throughout the university.
