Brian Gage, MD, MSc, Professor of Medicine in the Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics, research on mycophenolic acid in lung transplant recipients has been published in the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
The study used pharmacogenetics and penalized regression to develop a pharmacokinetic model of the therapeutic dose of MPA.
“Mycophenolic Acid (MPA) is the most used anti-proliferative drug after lung transplantation,” Dr. Gage shares. “The study demonstrates that a limited sampling strategy allows for accurate monitoring of mycophenolic acid in transplant recipients”.
